Community rules
The forum is members of the Indian diaspora helping each other with visas, airports, immigration, elderly travel and NRI life. A few rules keep it useful, kind and safe. Posting means you agree to them, and to our Terms.
This is not professional advice
Everything here is the personal experience and opinion of other members — not legal, immigration, visa, medical, tax or financial advice. Rules change, cases differ, and a wrong answer can cost you a trip or a refusal. Always confirm anything important with the official source (an embassy, government website, airline or a licensed professional) before you act on it.
Be helpful and civil
- Assume good faith and treat people the way you would in person.
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or sexual, abusive or demeaning content — including toward a group.
- Disagree with the point, not the person. No pile-ons or personal attacks.
- Post in English or Hindi so moderators can review fairly.
Keep it on-topic and genuine
- Pick the forum that fits, and give enough detail (dates, places, what you have tried) so people can actually help.
- No spam, no advertising, no self-promotion, and no affiliate or referral links.
- No soliciting business, no touting visa agents or “agents who guarantee approval”, and never move a deal or a payment off the platform. Anyone asking for money up front is a red flag.
- Do not post the same thing repeatedly or across multiple forums.
Protect privacy — yours and others'
- Never post passport numbers, visa reference numbers, full addresses, phone numbers, or photos of documents — yours or anyone else's. Redact before you share a screenshot.
- Do not share someone else's personal information or private messages without their consent.
- Remember the board is public and indexed by search engines. Only post what you are comfortable being seen.
Nothing illegal or unsafe
Do not post content that is unlawful, encourages breaking the law, or helps anyone deceive immigration, customs or an airline — including fake documents, visa fraud, or ways to game an application dishonestly. This ties back to the Terms, and breaking it can get your account suspended.
How posting and moderation work
- Threads are reviewed by a moderator before they appear publicly, so there may be a short wait after you post.
- Replies go live instantly once a thread is approved. They are not pre-reviewed, so use the report tools if you see something wrong.
- Moderators may edit, remove, refuse or pin content, and may suspend accounts that break these rules. The same strike and suspension system used elsewhere on the platform applies here.
Only post what you can share
Post your own words, or content you have the right to share. Do not paste articles, images or documents that belong to someone else in full. You keep ownership of what you write; you give us a licence to host and display it so the forum works (see the Terms).
Reporting
See something that breaks these rules? Use the report and block tools on a member's profile or in chat, or reach us through the Contact page. In an emergency, contact local authorities first.
